Suffragette #Tanka

I watched the movie “Suffragette” this evening. I cried all the way through, and for an hour after I got home. It is a beautiful, respectful tribute to those women who gave so much, and lost so much in doing so.

        1. I liked it too – watching it on a big screen with surround sound made me feel like I was wading through the sinking ship with them, and the sound effects after the Titanic sank, followed by the silence when everyone had frozen to death – it was eerie and moving, but the love story was fictional, and i was really cheesed off when she chucked her necklace in the sea – why couldn’t she have given it to the treasure hunters if she didn’t want the thing?
