Hidden

I gaze into the mirror
hunting for clues of who I may be

my familiar face stares back
brow furrowed in query
lips quivering, shamed by threatened nakedness
eyes shifty, evasive
concealing the secrets of my ego

my soul discreet

    1. I love the word furtive, it’s so… furtive!
Subversive is another of my favorites.
I’ve always wondered who I really am, and this poem tries to describe the feeling
Sounds like I REALLY need to keep up with the Sandbox Challenge, although even that would probably not pull out all of the secrets our souls hide from us.
