whenever grief or heartache came my way
I’d put it in my knapsack and touch it every day.
everywhere I went it was on my back
sapping my strength for the next attack.
and the heavier it got the more battles I lost
from clinging to the past whatever the cost.
but I had a great idea just the other day:
I went to the garbage and I threw it all away,
and now I’m feeling as light as can be
and wherever I go life smiles at me.

That’s why I have Percy! HE carries my worries in HIS knapsack now. 😀

Poor Percy I’m going to send that piece of information to the RSPCA. 🙂 I don’t suppose you have that over there – it’s The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals…

Don’t look at me! He offered. 😀

Were you twisting his arm when he “offered”?

Oh hell no! We’d been getting acquainted at Barnes & Noble for over a year and he was dying to come home with me. Said he’d do ANYTHING to have a home and someone who loved him! 😉

Could you do me a favour and check your spam folder please – I think that’s where my comments are going… 😦

Yep. There were 8 of them. Man! I just checked that a week or so ago.

Thanks for that, now I just have to figure out what to do about it, as I haven’t heard from the WP team…

Your comment on yesterday’s post got on there just fine. Perhaps it’s taken care of itself?

Yes! I was supposed to be going out, but I couldn’t resist seeing whether you restoring my comments had worked – but I think I’ll still have trouble on blogs where my posts are still sitting in the spam folder, and I’ve commented on loads of sites since the problem began – I don’t even know which ones they are. 😦
At least I can comment on your posts, and a few others now…

A poem with a serious topic but one that makes you feel good at the end! There’s something sunshiney about it 🙂

Thank you Paula. I hope the grief wears a hole in the material, and falls out without your noticing… 🙂
