Putting words into my mouth

-O-

amid
careful phrases that explain
how I only want you for a week or a day
and tell you this is no more than a game I play
you pick out particular words,
store them away
to cut and paste
into a sentence that says
I want you too, I need you too,
I feel the loving way you do.
poor fool, the only one
who’ll get hurt
is you.

-O-

          1. This is an example of believing what you want to believe rather than what is true, this is very common and every body does it to different degrees and in different ways. Your subconscious mind does it to protect you from unpleasant reality. The more you come to respect truth the less you do it.
