Following the ‘so-called president’s’ decision to allow hunters to bring “trophy” elephants into the U.S., Ellen stood up for the majestic creatures and called on viewers to help her raise awareness for her cause using #BeKindtoElephants on social media.

I saw this news the other day and signed a petition calling for the law to be withdrawn. Absolutely sickening to allow your citizens to hunt and import trophies of an endangered species. Attached to the petition I saw was a photgraph of one of Trump’s son’s holding up the tail of an elephant he’s just hunted and killed. A truly repellent family and a truly repellent law. well done for sharing the story Jane

It turns out I was a bit late. Thanks to the public outcry he has withdrawn. Apparently he hadn’t realised his decision would be so unpopular! Nothing new there…
