I used to have a fear of sirens – every time I heard one I was terrified that the big copper beech beside mum’s house had fallen on her. She moved house, but my fear continued until she died. Sirens – different victims, same sound. No way of knowing where they’re going.

You’re so right, they always get to me and i say a quick prayer for the crew and the victim in the hopes that it will be of some comfort and help
