it’s a pointless pattern of heartache and pain
each time he hurts you he’s sorry again
ennui replaces the love that you knew
and deep inside you know what to do

his claims of regret bring you back to his arms
but once you are there he drops the charm.

but now you are stripped of your false security
what you thought was love was desire for possession
and he’s crushing your soul with each angry session
