When pain resides on a level plain,
rolling no boulders to crush your bones,
truth floats a soothing melody on the air.
But if you’re dropped on the street of dread and despair,
no poetry will meet you there.

No poetry on the street of dread and despair – how true Jane. Some people have dread and despair forced upon them and some seem to seek it out, bring it on themselves. Myself, I prefer the poetry. x So well written

No apology needed. It’s hard keeping up with everything. You have a life – no need to apologise for that! Always nice to chat with you though 🙂

It’s terrifying. The most frightening thing is what will happen if my efforts fail.

Well I have to say your poem is very thought provoking… It will stick with me awhile. Trying to decide if I’ve EVER experience pain on a level playing field.

A level plain is when you know what to expect, and don’t receive constant traumas. It’s possible to breathe your way through it – but I’m talking about emotional pain, since it’s my area of expertise 😉

I’m not sure I’d use the word ‘entertaining – except in connection with my daughter’s wedding, although that’s proving to be hard work, too.
